Buxton indie rock band wows crowds

JUST like the title of their debut single, Buxton band The Indieannas are flying high.

The indie rock and roll group took Level Two in Buxton by storm on Friday night during a special gig to celebrate the release of their new song.

They were, in a word, brilliant.

The four local lads, Mark Whibberley, Ged Potts, Charlie Willcox and Jon Stone, put in a highly energetic performance which wowed the crowds.

They sounded top-notch and performed a selection of their own tunes as well as several well-known covers.

The Indieannas, formerly called the Stand, definitely have a bright future ahead of them.

• Their debut single, Flying High, can be downloaded from all major online stores now.
