Burbage Brass Band
MEMBERS of Burbage Brass Band, Buxton, and their families gathered recently to celebrate the past year with an annual prize giving.
A fabulous meal at the Leewood Hotel was followed by speeches by President Terry Corrigan and Chairman Bob Davies.
The past year had been a successful one for the band with completion of their new band room, promotion to a higher league for competitions, a record numbers of juniors learning to play with the band and a very high number of concert engagements completed.
It was therefore a difficult choice for conductor Steve Critchlow when it came to awarding the annual prizes for service to the band.
