Budding artist Ollie Adshead has brushed off the competition to take first prize in a colouring competition organised by Buxton firm Howden’s to support Blythe House Hospice.

The six-year-old, a pupil at Chapel-en-le-Frith Primary School, impressed the hospice’s service users who judged the competition, which had the theme ‘what I enjoyed last summer’ with his picture of the log flume at Alton Towers.

He won a £50 voucher and the competition raised £39 for the Chapel hospice.
