A ROUND-UP of just some of the bonfire and firework displays taking place in and around the High Peak.
Saturday October 31
BUXTON: Charity bonfire and firework display, organised by Buxton Round Table. At Buxton Cricket Ground, Park Road. Gates open at 5.30pm, bonfire lit at 6pm, children's low noise display at 6.30pm, main firework display at 7.30pm. BBQ, fairground rides, mulled wine, candy floss. Adults 4, children 2, concessions 3.
Sunday November 1
MACCLESFIELD: Bonfire and firework display at Macclesfield Cricket Club, Victoria Road. Gates open 6pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm, fireworks from 7pm. Food, refreshments. Adults 6, children 3, family 12.
Wednesday November 4
FAIRFIELD: Firework and bonfire display, from 6pm at Granby Road Playing Fields. Fair rides, burgers, hotdogs, hot and cold refreshments. Entry 1. Contact Vicky Cunningham on 0845 129 8075.
Thursday November 5
DOVE HOLES: Bonfire and firework display organised by Dove Holes Community Association. Bonfire lighting at 7pm, fireworks at 7.30pm. Bar, BBQ, refreshments, fairground and children's rides, candy floss. Adults 3.50, children 2, family ticket (two adults and two children) 8.50. Free parking.
GAMESLEY: Community bonfire, Melandra Castle Road, 6.30pm-9.15pm.
Friday November 6
BRADWELL: Bonfire and firework display, off Michlow Lane, Bradwell, from 6.30pm. Bonfire lit at 7pm, firework display at 7:30pm. Food, refreshments. Organised by Bradda Dads.
Saturday November 7
NEW MILLS: Firework extravaganza in High Lee Park. Large bonfire lit at 7pm, professional firework display to music at 7.30pm, children's funfair rides, various stalls. GLOSSOP: Annual bonfire and firework display, organised by Glossop, Hyde & District Round Table, at Manor Park from 6.30pm.
EDALE: Bonfire, BBQ and bar, 7pm.
TIDESWELL: Bonfire and firework display, Bishop Pursglove Primary School. Procession leaves Fountain Square at 6.30pm. Bonfire lit at 6.45pm, firework display at 7.30pm. Food and refreshments. Tickets 3.50 adults, 10 family, in advance from local traders; 4 adults, 12 family, on the gate. Organised by Tideswell Community Association.
