Beat the Blues, a new art exhibition featuring an eclectic mix of paintings, etchings and linocuts, opened on Monday in the Art Café at the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton.

At least 25 per cent of the proceeds of every sale will be donated to the Blythe House Hospice, in Chapel-en-le-Frith.

“It’s an antidote to the January blues,” explained artist Ingrid Karlsson-Kemp, pictured left.
