Appeal after boy is hurt in road collision

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy is recovering in hospital after he was involved in a collision with a Renault Clio car on Tuesday lunchtime.

The accident occurred outside Hope Valley College, Hope, at 12.55pm.

The teenager was taken by air ambulance to Sheffield Children's Hospital. He broken his arm and shoulder in the collision.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact PC 317 Hopkinson at the Road Policing Unit at Chapel on 01773 572929.

* A Bradwell woman was taken to hospital after a road traffic accident in Hope on Monday morning.

The 35-year-old had been driving a Citroen AX which was in collision with a VW Transporter vehicle on Station Road at its junction with Aston Lane at 8.15am.
