Action call over barrier

HIGH Peak planning bosses are taking enforcement action to ensure a long-awaited crash barrier is put in place.

A design for the barrier at the newly-opened Fallow Deer public house, situated on the outskirts of Chapel-en-le-Frith, has already been approved.

But as Chapel-en-le-Frith parish councillor Michael Harrison told a parish meeting recently: "The matter still seems to be dragging on.

"The borough council is now taking enforcement action to ensure the barrier is restored."
