Glossopdale musicians are tuning up ahead of their performances at the Festival of The Holly and The Ivy, in Glossop town centre on Saturday.
Regent Big Band will be kicking off the party on the Norfolk Square stage with their swinging sound at 3pm, followed by sets by Rachael’s Voices at 3.40pm, the Regent Big Band again at 4.10pm, Steve Roberts at 4.50pm, Quiet Loner at 5.25pm, a pantomime preview at 5.45pm, Dark Peak Wind Band at 6pm, and Father Andrew Hargreaves, of St James Church, at 6.30pm.
Following the Christmas lights switch on by Glossop midwives at 6.45pm, primary school children will sing Christmas carols for the big finale.
Meanwhile, in the Market Street performance area, Rachael’s Voices will perform at 3pm, followed by Milltown Cloggies at 3.30pm and Dark Peak Brass Quintet at 4.45pm.
In the outdoor market, Steve Roberts will be singing at 4pm, with Garron Firth taking to the stage at 5.30pm and Quiet Loner at 6pm and on Market Arcade, there will be string quartet performances at 5pm and 6pm.
