A mountain biker who died after falling up to 80 feet at Laddow Rocks on Sunday, has been named.
Gordon Moss, 54, from Holmfirth in West Yorkshire, was with a group of friends on Black Hill, north of Crowden, when he fell down the rock face.
Kinder and Glossop mountain rescue teams, as well as the North West Air Ambulance and a police helicopter, attended but Mr Moss was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neale Pinkerton, of Kinder Mountain Rescue, said: “Unfortunately the rider did not survive the fall. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to his family and friends.”
An inquest at North Derbyshire Coroners Court has been opened and adjourned.
