A JUBILEE fun day is being held in Buxton next month.

The event will take place in Spring Gardens on Monday, June 4 to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

It will feature a tombola, raffle, face painting, craft stalls, local food produce and children’s entertainment.

There will also be £300 of prizes up for grabs for the best street performers, sponsored by Bradbury Property Company.

Street performers who wish to take part must register by contacting Sam Copley on 07791 518949.

Half of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Blythe House Hospice in Chapel-en-le-Frith with the rest going to Buxton Traders, an organisation which has been set up to try and revitalise the town.

The fun day will run from 10am to 4pm.

Tables for craft stalls and anyone selling local food produce are available to book, priced at £10, by contacting Sam Copley on the number above.
