Pupils at Dove Holes Primary School took part in an innovative new project this week.

On Tuesday, the school held a farmers’ market as part of a project funded by the Peak District Rural Action Zone Leader programme, the Soil Association, and Mid Wales Food and Land Trust, who are working with nine schools across the area to set up farmers’ markets in the school hall or playground organised entirely by pupils.

Money raised from produce stall fees and the sale of produce made/grown by the schools will go towards farm visits or food education and environmental projects.
