A TEAM of from Stepping Hill Hospital have been inspired to raise funds for a cancer charity.

Staff of Ward DS Daycase at Stepping Hill Hospital have raised £500 by completing the Race for Life at Heaton Park.

The girls, who come from all over the area including High Peak, were inspired by a close work colleague who has recently overcome breast cancer.

The team would like to thank Brain Hill for printing t-shirts, Christopher Huster and Steve Hayes for taking some wonderful photographs and all those who supported their fundraising efforts.

Race for Life is the UK’s biggest fight against cancer and the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK.

Since Race for Life started in 1994, an incredible six million participants have raised over £457 million, more than any other UK event series raising money to fund cancer research.
