EAST Cheshire Hospice and Blythe House Hospice are challenging local people to ‘Hike the Hill’ in celebration of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, with their now infamous annual trek.
Supported by Orbit Developments, this year’s event on Saturday October 13, promises to be as breathtakingly beautiful and physically demanding as ever – with a new 12-mile route.
Kirsty Daniels, Events Manager at East Cheshire Hospice, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced walkers to take on a real challenge whilst raising vital funds for their local Hospice. So get those hiking boots at the ready and sign up today to show your support!”
Walkers can expect a moderately paced hike which organisers estimate will take six hours to complete.
An entry fee of £10 secures a place on the walk, maps of the route and refreshments afterwards. Walkers need to be of an experienced level, and raise a minimum of £60 in sponsorship.
To secure your place, sign up online at www.eastcheshirehospice.org.uk or by calling the fundraising team on 01625 433477.
