Organisers are hoping for good weather for this weekend’s Dove Holes Carnival.
The event, which was revived in 2008 after an absence of 16 years, will take place on Saturday.
The parade starts at 1pm from Dale Road and will wind its way through the village before ending at the community centre, where a fete will take place.
Led by Dove Holes brass band, the parade will also feature carnival king Thomas Green.
Activities at the community centre after the parade include birds of prey, Harley Davidsons, donkey rides, bouncy castles, a bungee challenge, a cake and dog show, side stalls, a balloon race and a strong man challenge.
Entertainment continues in the evening at the Queen’s Hotel.
