Local artist Paul Tavernor had his work cut out judging hundreds of entries in Buxton Pavilion Gardens’ annual children’s art competition.

He said: “It was very hard to choose the winners and runners-up because of the overall high standard.”

Kimaya Giarg won the age five-and-under category ahead of Mabel Hopkins, while Isabella Moran took top prize in the age 6-8 category from Skye Morton. Erin Archer won the age 9-11 category, with Saskia Haq runner-up, and Freya Moore was the overall winner.

They all received a signed print from Paul and a selection of other goodies.
