Helping access the countryside

If you have an interest in the great outdoors and would like a say on how Derbyshire’s countryside can be opened up for all to enjoy then your help is needed.

Derbyshire County Council and Derby City Council are recruiting new members for the countywide Local Access Forum.

Leader of DCC, Councillor Andrew Lewer, said: “This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in helping us improve access to Derbyshire’s beautiful countryside for all to enjoy.”

Those representing cycling, outdoor pursuits, land management and forestry, nature conservation, health interests or those who champion access to the countryside for disabled people would be particularly welcome.
