PROGRESS towards becoming an NHS Foundation Trust will be on the agenda when the Board of Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust meets on Thursday June 28 at Somerlea Park Centre, Sherwood Street, Leabrooks, Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 1LB.
Patients, families, carers and local residents are invited to sit in on the discussions, starting at 9am, which will cover the latest developments in community NHS services for Derbyshire, including generating greater involvement by the public in local health services.
The meeting is likely to be of particular interest to the growing band of people who have signed up to belong to the emerging Foundation Trust, which now stands at more than 3,600 public members.
As well as progress towards Foundation Trust status, discussions will also focus on quality and performance reports covering the Trust’s community hospitals, health centres and from services provided in people’s own homes and other community settings.
Everyone is welcome and light refreshments will be provided.
Kirsteen Farrar, Trust Secretary for Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, said: “Questions from the public are welcomed but need to be submitted in advance to ensure a full answer can be given at the meeting.” Anyone who would like to raise a question for Board members on June 28 is asked to contact Kirsteen Farrar, Trust Secretary at Babington Hospital, Derby Road, Belper, Derbyshire, DE56 1WH, telephone 01773 525065 or email: email@example.com
Kirsteen added: “There is no need to book a place and we hope people will take up this invitation to find out more about what we do.”
