TWO public meetings about proposals to create a hub for inpatient care in Buxton are taking place this week.
Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (DCHS) are currently looking at options for creating a hub for inpatient care in the town, rather than having it across two sites at the Cavendish Hospital and Buxton Hospital.
The meetings, asking local people for their views on the plans, are being held tomorrow (Friday) at Buxton Methodist Church on the Market Place from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
A spokesperson for DCHS said: “The rationale behind this is that a single hub for inpatient care in the town would enable us to pool resources, expertise and care in the interests of high quality patient care.”
