Health watchdog issues ‘good’ rating for Buxton care home following inspection

A Buxton care home has been praised by the Care Quality Commission in its latest report.

The Branksome Care Home Centre, on St John’s Road, received a rating of ‘Good’ during an inspection in October.

The report says the care home looks after residents’ needs and their safety.

The report summarised: “People told us they felt safe. We saw there was enough staff to respond to people’s needs in a timely manner.

“Staffing arrangements were sufficient and regularly reviewed to ensure people’s changing needs were met.

“Staff understood the need to ensure people were protected from risks of harm, abuse and unsafe treatment.

“People’s care and safety needs were met in a timely manner.”
