Children from Hayfield Primary School took part in a special children’s Act of Remembrance on Tuesday.

Organised by the village’s branch of the Royal British Legion, the service at the war memorial saw the children releasing commemorative poppy balloons, one for each of Hayfield’s war casualties. They then laid a specially-made wreath.
