Older residents in Hayfield enjoyed the annual Wright Turner Party on Saturday.
The party was held at St Matthew’s Church Hall with entertainment from Tideswell Male Voice Choir. It has been held in the village for around 150 years.
Originally organised by Hayfield-born Wright Turner, a former Mayor of Salford, after his death he left a bequest so that it could continue every year.
Hayfield Parish Councillor Eva Lawson, who organised the party, said: “It went really well and people really enjoyed themselves.”
She thanked Hayfield Guides, Tideswell Male Voice Choir, High Peak Mayor Pat Jenner, Derbyshire County Councillor Beth Atkins, Alan Vincent, Hayfield May Queen royalty and all who helped out.
