Glossop deli Praze Fine Foods, on High Street West, raised more than £850 by staging a sponsored silence on Saturday in aid of Glossopdale charity the Winnie Mabaso Foundation.

Tracey McCullough served customers without a peep from 10am until 4pm, using written response cards and paying a £5 penalty every time she broke the silence.

Tracey will be taking the money raised to the South African orphanage she is visiting with the foundation on Sunday.
