Glossop Record Club returns on Thursday, October 9, for an all-vinyl celebration of radio legend John Peel ahead of the 10th anniversary of his death,

Hosted by regulars Gavin Hogg and Steve McNamee, they will play a selection of records made popular on his BBC Radio 1 programme between 1967 and 2004.

Two albums will be played in full on the night, including Grotesque by The Fall and a second album to be decided on via a poll on Glossop Record Club’s website.

People are welcome to bring with them any Peel related records they wish to share.

There will also be a rare airing of a session recorded for Peel’s show in 1987 by Glossop band The Bodines.

The free evening starts at 8pm at Glossop Labour Club, on Chapel Street.
