Two weeks before she leaps off Manchester’s Imperial War Museum, Glossop’s Kaye Phillips was topping up her fundraising total with a sponsored bag pack at Tesco.

With the help of volunteer Holly Tinsley, the pair raised £115 for High Peak Women’s Aid by assisting shoppers for three hours at the Wren Nest Road store on Sunday.

Kaye, who will be crossing Manchester Ship Canal on a zip wire on October 12 in aid of the domestic violence charity, has already raised 85 per cent of her £2,000 target.
