A High Peak charity has been given a funding boost thanks to a Buxton store.

The Farming Life Centre, based at Blackwell Hall Farm, has received £340 from Waitrose, through the store’s Community Matters Scheme. Under the scheme, shoppers vote for which of a number of local good causes should benefit from a funding pot.

The centre’s aim is to improve the quality of life of upland farmers in the Peak District through delivering projects which offer social, network building and training opportunities, health improvement facilities as well as general support for farming families.
