Buxtonians enjoyed music, magic, dance, children’s fun and street theatre at the weekend on Fringe Sunday.
The party in the park offered a sampling of what the 2013 Buxton Fringe has to offer at the Pavilion Gardens.
Crowds flocked to the gardens, on St John’s Road, and brought picnics and rugs to watch artists perform at the bandstand from 2pm until 4.30pm and enjoy an afternoon of free family entertainment.
A spokesman from the Buxton Festival Fringe, which runs until July 21, said: “Fringe Sunday was a sizzling success. We are now busy preparing the float for Buxton Carnival on Saturday. Do wave us on and wear orange to show support.”
Buxton Festival Fringe began in 1980 to run concurrently with the Buxton Festival, with international opera and high profile literary talks at its core.
