Four men have been arrested after Derbyshire Police found them in possession of items that could be used to break into vehicles.
After a spate of van break-ins across the High Peak, police launched Operation Everman to crack down on power tools being stolen.
A force spokesman said: “We have arrested four men on suspicion of going equipped for theft after they were stopped in New Mills earlier this week.
“At around 1am on Monday, February 6, we were carrying out patrols on Buxton Road, New Mills as part of Operation Everman when we stopped a BMW.”
The men, aged 23, 24, 24, and 25-years-old, were arrested on suspicion of going equipped for theft. They were questioned and have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
