A TINY Peak District school is facing closure for the second time in two years.

Flash CE Primary School, which last year had just seven pupils, faced closure last year which was postponed when a federation with St Bartholomew’s Primary School in Longnor was created.

However, in September 2012, the roll at Flash Primary School fell to zero pupils and Staffordshire County Council have now been given the go-ahead to resume with the proposed closure.

A six-week representation period asking for comments and objections is now open. Anyone who would like to have their say should write to Eric Robinson, c/o School Organisation Team, Staffordshire County Council, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH.

The closing date for comments is Thursday, December 6.

Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet will consider any comments and objections before taking a decision on December 19 and the school’s proposed closure date is December 31, 2012.
