A BUXTON woman who is taking on a 350km charity cycle challenge in India has organised two events to help raise funds.

In October Susi Henshall is taking part in the Women V Cancer event in aid of three charities - Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer action.

The 350km adventure in Rajasthan starts with a visit to the stunning Taj Mahal and finishes in the ‘pink city’ of Jaipur.

But to help boost the funds raised for the charities, Buxton residents are being given the chance to take on the challenge of a firewalk.

It will take place on Tuesday September 25, at Buxton Rugby Club who are supporting the event, and places are limited.

For more information, or to book your place, contact Susi on 01298 23760 or 0781 476 4321.

And, on Saturday August 11, a Bollywood Bash will be held at the Railway Hotel in Buxton, with Jamie’s Disco and raffle. Fancy dress optional.

Tickets, costing £10, are available from Cut and Curl, Market Street, or call Pauline on 0781 429 8920 or Susi.
