High Peak residents are being reminded of a public consultation event taking place later this month into controversial plans to close fire stations across the borough.
Being held at The Springs shopping centre, Buxton, the event is on Friday November 22 between 9am and 3pm.
Plans currently being consulted on by Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service would see stations at New Mills, Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith closed and replaced with a merged station at Furness Vale, while a new merged station at Bamford would replace those at Bradwell and Hathersage.
Buxton fire station would also be relocated, possibly to a site on Fairfield common.
