A Buxton man who stole perfume and razor blades from a town centre shop has been fined.
Staff at Boots in Spring Gardens saw Shaun Scullion enter the store on January 10 and take two packets of razor blades and a bottle of DKNY perfume and leave the store without paying, High Peak Magistrates’ Court heard.
In interview, Scullion admitted taking the items from the shop, prosecutor John Cooper said.
The 50-year-old, of Darley Way, Fairfield admitted theft.
Kirsten Collings, defending, said: “The facts are not disputed, he admits taking the items. He was under the influence of alcohol at the time.”
Scullion was fined £75 and ordered to pay £85 costs, a £20 surcharge and £64.99 compensation.
