New Mills Festival organisers are urging music fans to get in gear to be first in line for front row seats at X Factor star Lucy Spraggan’s show.
Lucy, who has gone on to enjoy top ten success with her debut album and sell-out tours, will be performing at the New Mills Art Theatre on Saturday September 10.
To give locals and those willing to travel first choice of the front row seats in the 500–seater venue, tickets will go on sale first at New Mills Carnival on June 11, in person only.
New Mills Festival vice-chairman Rob Hawkins said: “We expect lively sales at our stall on the carnival parade ground – anyone hoping for front row seats would be wise to join the queue.”
Lucy Spraggan appeared on the X Factor in 2012, and since then her audition video has been viewed 35 million times on YouTube. She was also the most Googled musician of 2012 after her appearance on the show and immediately signed to Columbia Records.
With influences such as Don Maclean and Kirsty McColl, Lucy’s style takes on the folk riffs of Peter, Paul and Mary while incorporating traditional R&B.
The singer soaked up various musical influences while living in New Orleans and her style sits in the middle ground between pop and acoustic folk.
Lucy has made appearances in some of the most prestigious music venues the UK has to offer, including the O2 Arena, Royal Albert Hall and Manchester Arena.
Remaining seats will be available online or from the Festival box office at The Studios, 12 Union Road, New Mills, on Saturdays between 10am-12pm from June 13.
