Terry Crawford, Visitor Services Manager at the council, said: “We’re all really excited to be bringing such a fantastic programme of fun family activities and events to the High Peak this summer.

“We’re proud of the burgeoning reputation we’re building for our festival scene and this new programme will only enhance that and appeal to a wide audience. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Buxton in August when it will effectively become a free holiday park for families to enjoy.”

Attractions range from art and craft workshops, markets and bazaars through to more physical activities such as canoeing and family climbing.

Free activities such as trails, exhibitions and exploration will also run every day throughout the festival.

The full programme is available at Buxton Tourist Information Centre or you can download it at www.paviliongardens.co.uk.
