A Buxton school has shown its support for the victims and families of the Manchester bomb attack by raising over £200.

Pupils at Fairfield Endowed Junior School participated in a 'dress your best' day on Friday, collecting a total of £229.26 in donations for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.

Manchester City Council launched the appeal in partnership with the British Red Cross to support those affected by Monday's devastating attack at the Manchester Arena, which killed 22 men, women and children and injured dozens more.

Mike Adamson, Chief Executive of the British Red Cross, said: "The money raised will contribute to those affected by this terrible attack getting the help that they need today, tomorrow and into the future". Please donate now to help those bereaved or injured."
