Applications are being invited for a new member to sit on the 30-strong governing body of the Peak District National Park Authority.
The vacancy is among one of the eight individuals, with a specialist knowledge of national park or regional issues, appointed by the Secretary of State for the Environment.
The successful applicant will initially serve for up to four years, with the option of a further four years.
Members, who receive an allowance, plus expenses to attend meetings, are responsible for setting policies and priorities and ensuring money and resources are well used.
They are expected to commit at least two or three days to the authority each month.
