IT WAS case of hair today, gone tomorrow for Buxton’s Emily Barker at the weekend.
Emily, 25, had spent five years growing her hair down to her waist so that she could donate it to the Little Princess Trust, an organisation which provides real hair wigs to children and teenagers suffering hair loss due to cancer treatment or serious illnesses.
And on Saturday, Emily, a student in Cambridge, had the chop at Buxton’s Francesco Group salon.
Describing the moment her long locks were cut off, Emily said: “I was a little bit emotional when it all first came off. But I’m pleased that I did it. It’s nice to know that it is going to help children and teenagers.”
