Preparations for Christmas take place all year round for residents at Cromford Court in Whaley Bridge.

For many years Loraine and John Coverley have collected empty shoe boxes, which they have decorated and then started to fill them with gifts for Operation Christmas Child.

All the residents of the housing complex try to join in by donating various items for the shoe boxes, either by adding an extra item to their weekly shop or by knitting hats and gloves.

This year is no exception and a large number of show boxes, for boys and girls of various ages, will be collected and send overseas to children around the world.
