Eight tons of hay on a tractor trailer was on fire in the middle of a main Whaley Bridge road
Crews from Whaley Bridge and Wirksworth attended the fire on Buxton Road, Whaley Bridge.
The fire closed the road 6pm yesterday (Wednesday, June 27) so the service could dampen the hay..
A fire and rescue spokesman said: "Not your normal place for a hay stack, let alone one on fire. Great job by the crews on a very challenging & hot day."
