THE musical talents of hundreds of schoolchildren were showcased at a special concert in New Mills.
The event, held at the New Mills Art Theatre, featured pupils from New Mills School Business and Enterprise College and eight infant and primary schools.
As well as choirs, there was music from youngsters playing a variety of instruments including cello, violins, saxophones, percussion and clarinets. The groups performing came from St George’s C of E School, Newtown Primary, Combs Infant, Furness Vale Primary, Hayfield Primary, New Mills Primary, Hague Bar Primary and Thornsett Primary.
Tamandra Ford, Assistant Head at New Mills School, said: “It was a collaboration of music from New Mills School and all the feeder primary schools.
