A new trim trail at a Buxton primary school has been helping pupils stay fit and healthy.

Costing over £9,000 and featuring all-weather safety surfacing, the trail at Burbage Primary School, on Cavendish Avenue, has been funded by the National Lottery ‘Awards for All’ as part of the project ‘Everybody Exercise Together’.

Reception teacher Lorna Peters said: “It enables the children to engage in strenuous play before and after school and throughout the school day.

“We believe this initiative will improve children’s health, help them to understand the benefits of active lifestyles and healthy eating and improve social skills and integration, whilst having fun.”
