Buxton Museum is showcasing masterpieces by the town’s art students, in an exhibition that will run until February.
The gallery, on Terrace Road, is displaying more than 60 pieces of art course work by pupils from Buxton Community School and St Thomas More Catholic School.
The 10-week show, entitled Artwork 2013 , opened on Saturday, November 30, following a preview evening on the Friday, and will close on February 8.
A spokesman from the museum said: “The two schools produce consistently high standards at GCSE and A Level. Their work continues to evolve to include a diverse range including bold portraits, amazing perspectives, sculpture, fine drawing and digital manipulation.”
The exhibition features a variety of themes on mixed media from acrylic, oil and chalk, to textile, photography and video by 40 teenage artists.
