HOPE Valley College took a trip back to the 80s when it performed its own High School Musical extravaganza to sell-out audiences recently.
Over 200 students and staff were involved in the exciting and vibrant production of the musical ‘Back To The 80’s’ at Hope Valley College, written by Neil Gooding and set in an American High School.
The company have been working on the production – performed over four nights to a packed houses of around 200 – since November.
Director Alison Scorer said: “We are very proud of the exemplary creativity and commitment our students have displayed in order to produce this energetic and entertaining show.”
Lead roles were played by Simon Dickinson (Corey Palmer Senior), Liam Rowland (Corey Palmer Junior), Alice Shaw (Tiffany Houston), Lizzie Wright (Cyndi Gibson) and Eddie Gosney (Michael Feldman) with a strong support cast and chorus.
Teaching assistant Rachel Winder, one of three staff assisting with choreography, said: “It was an amazing – we probably broke a Guinness World Record for the school performance with the biggest cast!”
