DESPITE spending weeks at the Olympic Park during the London 2012 Games, University of Derby Buxton lecturer Eddy Grant didn’t see a single medal win!

Eddy missed all the medal-winning action because he had a key role in the delivery of a safe and secure Games, as Events Management Consultant with Capita Symonds.

He said: “It was a challenging role given the volume of people which included shoppers and the workforce, and very high demand on the services available, but good planning meant that my role in day-to-day operational delivery went fairly smoothly.”

Eddy will go on to carry out the same role during the London 2012 Paralympic Games, which began with an opening ceremony yesterday (Wednesday).
