TWO High Peak men are planning to take part in a Crumball Rally in memory of a friend who died recently.

Michael Chamberlin, from New Mills, and Edward Siddall, from Hadfield, want to take part in the rally in Europe next year and raise money for charity, in memory of Andrew Parton, from Buxton, who died earlier this year.

Edward, who is also a borough councillor, said: “We are currently on the hunt for a car to do the rally in. The terms of the rally are to have a road worthy car of a value around £200.

“We are also looking for people and businesses to sponsor the event to see how much we can raise by doing this.

“The charities we are raising money for are the Friends of Chapel Lane Park in Hadfield so we can continue to run free events on the park for the Kids of Hadfield and a similar Project in the New Mills area.”

If anyone would like to sponsor them or donate a car or help in any way, please call 07921071776 or email edward.siddall@highpeak.gov.uk
