The day job has become a real life fairy tale for two Birchvale beauties – who have been wowing crowds as Queen Elsa and Princess Anna from the Disney blockbuster Frozen.

Heidi Anne Burford, 27, and Shelby Farmer, 19, launched their tribute to the Frozen sisters almost one year ago, and have been in high demand ever since.

Their all-singing, all-dancing act has proved a hit at children’s parties and special events.

But, importantly for the duo, it has also put enormous smiles on the faces of many poorly children in hospital.

Heidi, who plays Queen Elsa, said: “We get such a fantastic reaction from the children. Some are so poorly, but when we see them smile, it is just so amazing.”

She added: “We are trained singers and actresses, so we can sing the songs how they are in the film. Our outfits are high quality and specially made too, so we look, sound, and act the part.”

The duo are big fans of the Oscar-Winning movie too – which took £723m at box office to become the fifth highest grossing film in history.

Heidi said: “I think Frozen is just brilliant. It’s one of those films you put on for children, but end up falling in love with yourself. I have seen it lots of times now.”

“I’m not concerned about the popularity of Frozen fading either,” added Heidi. “It’s now the best selling Disney film ever, so I think these princesses are here forever.”

Their company, Once Upon A Princess Party, has worked for many charities, including the Make A Wish Foundation.

They are to host their biggest event yet in September at Strines Pavilion, in Buxton.

Heidi, who will also have a single out that month in her capacity as a singer songwriter, said: “It will be a fantastic event. We’ll have loads of other popular characters there
too.”
