Dickensian Market boost for mayoral charities

Visitors to the Pavilion Gardens last weekend took a step back in time as Buxton’s Octagon was transformed into a Dickensian Market.

Held in aid of the High Peak Mayoral Charities Committee, the event also featured market stalls run by dozens of local charities.

Pictured at the Olde Gingerbread Shoppe, which won first prize in the ‘best decorated’ competition, is Buxton Town Crier Bill Weston, High Peak Mayor Tony Kemp, Glynis Kirk and members of 2nd Burbage & St Anne’s Girl Guides.
