THERE was plenty of dancing in the street at the 24th Buxton Festival of Traditional Dance.
Over 100 dancers from clubs around the country converged on Buxton last Saturday for the annual dance extravaganza.
Displays, featuring a range of Morris Dancing styles, entertained the crowds at various locations around the town, including Buxton Opera House, the Pavilion Gardens, Market Place, Broad Walk and the Slopes.
Squire Peter Helps, from Chapel-en-le-Frith Morris Men, said: “The displays were very well received with big crowds in the Gardens and the Slopes.
“All our visitors enjoyed taking part and several have already asked if they can return next year.”
