More than 300 cyclists took on the unforgiving terrain of the Dark Peak on Saturday as they saddled up for the British Heart Foundation’s Peak District Mountain Bike Challenge.
Participants tackled the terrain around the Hope Valley area doing battle with a 15, 24, 34 and 39 mile circuit.
Among those raising funds were Tom and Roger Jepson from Buxton Funeral Directors RW Percival.
Their challenge was to negotiate the rocky trails, and steep hills while avoiding the loose rocks.
They raised over £1000 and would like to thank all those who sponsored them.
It is hoped the event will have raised £33,000 to help the fight against heart disease.
