An Ashford-in-the-Water man has had his restraining order revoked after the ex-girlfriend he harassed said she missed him.

Tyrone Holmes, 55, of Highfield, was sentenced for harassment on August 21 and ordered not to contact Patricia Walker for five years.

Appearing at High Peak Magistrates’ Court on Monday, she applied for the order to be discharged, saying they wished to re-establish their relationship.

Addressing Miss Walker, chairman of the Bench Gerry Wallis said: “It’s such a short period of time since the restraining order was made, what has changed your mind?”

She replied: “I just realised I missed him.”

Magistrates agreed to lift the injunction.
