A 20-year-old who attacked a policewoman in Chapel-en-le-Frith was sentenced to a community order at High Peak Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Georgia Rice, of Westwood Road, Stockport, admitted assaulting PC Donna Neale, being drunk and disorderly on Market Place and possessing a pocket knife on December 14 at a hearing earlier this month.

She was sentenced to 12 months’ supervision, 160 hours unpaid work and a 12-week curfew. She was also ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £100 compensation to PC Neale.
